Amizade Volunteer Programs
exploring cultures - changing lives

Welcome to the Amizade web page!

Amizade is a nonprofit organization that was started with the idea of saving the rainforest by helping the people of the rainforest. Amizade offers alternative travel programs that are a mix of community service and recreation, providing volunteers with the unique opportunity to participate first hand in the culture of the region where they are traveling.  Programs are offered in the Brazilian Amazon, the Bolivian Andes, Australia, the Navajo Nation, and the Greater Yellowstone Region.
