The main focus in of this collection is on practical materials for facilitators and practitioners. It is hoped that the materials will assist Resource Center of the Americas members, community activists, popular educators, and organizers in improving the educational work in our movements for democratic social change.

The three main parts of the collection are:

  1. Popular Education/Community Organizing Facilitator and Practitioner Materials in English,
  2. Popular Education/Community Organizing Facilitator and Practitioner Materials in Spanish
  3. A complete collection of books by Paulo Freire with some titles also in Spanish.

Included is information on how to purchase the materials and links to bookstores that carry them.

These materials can be borrowed like other books from the Penny Lernoux Library at the Resource Center of the Americas by members of the Resource Center and other community members. Non-members can pay a $5 fee to use the library for a month, plus a $10-per-item deposit. For library information, call or e-mail Mary Swenson (612) 276-0788.

Please send suggestions for additions to the collection to lolds@mtn.org.
