Retirement benefits and privatization on Council's Veto Session agendaThe Illinois General Assembly will convene for the Veto Session on Nov. 7 and adjorn on the 29th. As usual, Council 31 has a full agenda for this session, including advocating for a health insurance plan for IMRF retirees, improved pensions for city of Chicago and Cook County employees and de-privatizing Anna Vets Home.

As difficult as the last round of bargaining was, union leaders expect even more trouble reaching an agreement this time.
