Taxpayer Activist to address Oregon think tank
Speech will discuss Cutting the Government in half over the next 25 years

WASHINGTON-On Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform will be in Portland, Oregon, to address the Cascade Policy Institute's Holiday Dinner. The subject of Mr. Norquist's speech will be: "Half the government, twice the freedom: How to achieve both in the next 25 years."

The event is being sponsored by the Cascade Policy Institute. The Cascade Policy Institute is a nonprofit research and educational organization that focuses on Oregon state and local issues. The Institute's mission is to explore and advance public policy alternatives that foster individual liberty, personal responsibility, and economic opportunity.

Event information is as follows:

WHAT: Cascade Policy Institute Annual Holiday Dinner with
special guest Grover Norquist, President
Americans for Tax Reform

WHEN: Friday, December 7, 2001.
Reception at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: 5th Avenue Suites Hotel

Portland, Oregon

COST: $35 for individuals, $400 for a table of eight with signage.
