Bookstore of The Americas--Your Information Source about the Americas

We are a program of the Resource Center of The Americas, a non-profit human rights organization that provides educational materials about cross-border issues in the Americas. We have a collection of learning aids that can't be found anywhere else, starting with our own award winning curriculum materials.

The store carries thousands of titles on this site, and it will keep growing. These books are in three primary categories: children's, fiction and nonfiction. Most of the books are in English, but we carry an increasing selection of titles in Spanish and bilingual editions.

A range of subject matters and genres are offered, including:

information about Latin American countries and topics,

literature and legends from countries throughout the hemisphere,

Spanish-English dictionaries and word books, as well as other ways to learn Spanish,

general multi-cultural and justice issues.

Topics we currently highlight are:

child labor,
the global economy,
Mexico and Chiapas,
migrant workers and immigration,
rain forests,
human rights.
