Current Five-Day Forecast

December 15, 2001, 03:30 PM
Hello Everyone,

A warm front moving across the Pacific Northwest has increased rainfall, risen snow levels and increased the wind.

A high wind warning continues along the Northern and Central Oregon coast tonight. A high wind watch and heavy surf advisory have been issued for Sunday. Wind gusts as high as 65 mph are possible in coastal communities. 2-6 inches of rain is possible in northern coastal regions through Monday.

Elsewhere, a snow advisory continues in the Cascades through tonight. The snow elevation will rise to 6,500 feet by Sunday with snow turning to rain at lower elevations.

The Grande Ronde Valley is under a blizzard warning tonight. 3-6 inches of snow is possible with winds gusting to 40 mph.

Continued rains over the Pacific Northwest has prompted a flash flood watch for Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington through Monday.

Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
