A new high-flying holiday celebration for local families full of musical entertainment, special shopping opportunities, a drawing for a free Cancun vacation, and kids’ activities!
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from Nov. 30 - Dec. 16, skip the mall routine and bring your family out to the PDX Oregon Market. You’ll find special deals for holiday gift buying from some of the Northwest’s best merchants -- for the bookworm in your family, to the wilderness enthusiast, to the sports fanatic.
While parents shop, kids can have their picture taken for free with our very special holiday host “P.D. the Flying Snowman,” and then find fun stuff to do coloring, making toy airplanes, or getting “tattoos.” Face painters, magicians, balloon hat artists will be on hand throughout the event. Members of the PDX K-9 team will also snif out affection and demonstrate how they work.
Live entertainment will include jugglers, harpists, pianists, and local high school jazz bands.
You are invited to attend a very special evening of music and drama this Christmas season presented by the combined choirs and orchestra of Cedar Mill Bible Church. The heartwarming play tells the story of the hilarious efforts of a woman to put on the annual church Christmas pageant, despite having to cast the Herdmans - probably the meanest, nastiest, most inventfully awful kids ever.
Produced by New Vision Dance Center, this Nutcracker is a family event for the community. There are over 100 performers, ages 5 and up, including Principal Dancers, Divida Haas and Eric Oglesbee, former OBT members. Don't miss the handmade costumes and, debuting this year, the cheese tank!
While Dale Chihuly is known worldwide for his glass art, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is also an outlet for his Studio Edition glass works. Three works on display in the Aquarium lobby are available during the gift-giving holidays for the person looking for an artistic treat or wanting to add a handblown Chihuly Studio Edition to their personal fine-art collection. The Chihuly glass art is sold with a book related to the artwork's specific glass series as well as a specially designed plexiglass display with black base. Christmas Tree Sales begin on November 23 at Murphy’s Furniture Store in Cornelius. The lot is open from November 23-December 16th from 10 am-7:30 pm weekdays and from 9 am-8pm weekends. Free popcorn will also be provided at the lot.

"All Is Calm, All Is Bright" is a one-hour cantata telling the Christmas story in song and narrative using traditional and contemporary upbeat music. The choir is non-denominational, with 45 members from 3 counties and about a dozen communities. It has toured since about 1988. Free-will offerings will be received for community Christmas outreach ministries. Child care and refreshments will be provided.
