New Jersey VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES

October 7, 2002 - Last day to register to vote in the November General Election

October 29, 2002 - Last day to apply for an absentee ballot application by mail (for the
General Election)

November 4, 2002 - Last day to apply for an absentee ballot application in person (for the
General Election)

November 5, 2002 - General Election Day - polls open 6 AM until 8 PM

NEW JERSEY Voter requirements

You must:

• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be a resident of New Jersey and county at your address at least 30 days before the next election
• Be at least 18 years of age by the time of the next election.
• Not be serving a sentence or on parole or probation as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

For primary must be either Registered Republican OR registered to vote but never before voted in a primary.
