Ten Key Values

Jonathan is embarking on a bid for the Blaine House in 2002 because he believes his years of work promoting green issues and values has positioned him with a realistic opportunity to win.

Jonathan says, " this campaign is not about making a statement, as were the campaigns of 1992 and 1994, but about seriously attempting to take back the Blaine House for the people of Maine. We will run a positive campaign based on green values. We will tackle the economic difficulties, social inequities, and ecological problems with sound solutions, not the rhetoric of political professionals. We will engage all the citizens of this great state to share a vision for a government which is truly by, for, and of the people. Our "We the People Campaign" will offer a path to a sustainable future based on liveable wages, energy conservation, community economics, forest restoration, universal health care, equitable taxation, educational excellence, equal rights, and corporate responsibility".

Jonathan encourages all citizens to get involved in helping this campaign to take back our democracy from the powers which have controlled and subverted it for far too long.
