Carter tours Maine in caravan of giant glowing pumpkins
Where is the Giant Pumpkin Caravan now?

Portland, ME – Jonathan Carter is being escorted around the state during this final week of the campaign by The Giant Pumpkin Caravan, which kicked-off on Tuesday, October 29th at Deering Oaks Park in Portland.

The caravan consists of vehicles topped by giant, glowing, grinning pumpkins. People in southern Maine may have already witnessed a few of these pumpkins performing test-drives through the streets. This fleet of jack-o-lanterns will escort Carter around the state for the final week of the campaign. They will move from town to town, stopping to greet people, talking with business owners and workers, flyering and generating excitement throughout the state by creating a hilarious spectacle.

Carter states, "The Giant Pumpkin Caravan will be fun! It will generate excitement and interest wherever we go and give me an opportunity to speak with people all over the state. This is a fun exercise in good, old fashioned campaigning of a type that has long since passed away from our political process. In a time of excessive TV advertising, expensive political consultants and slick campaign slogans, politicians sometimes forget to have fun, get out there and shake hands and make a spectacle of themselves. I am bringing back old style, grassroots campaigning."
