Greens/Green Party USA Bylaws

Working Groups & Committees

Contact information for G/GPUSA's staff, committee members, and working group members is available to everyone.

G/GPUSA Working Groups exist to carry out the many actions proposed and endorsed by the G/GPUSA. All of our Working Groups have the same basic responsibilities:

  • Be accountable to the Green National Committee and report to them at GNC meetings.
  • Provide the GNC with an annual budget and plan expenses to stay within the budget.
  • Keep archives of all work, recruit new members when needed, maintain a system of communication between members.
  • Submit timely meeting minutes to the Coordinating Committee and submit action plans (for goals approved by the GNC) to the Coordinating Committee before beginning work on projects.
  • Annually propose a Plan of short and long-term Goals, to be approved by the Green National Committee, then carry out those goals.

Affiliates

The Greens/Green Party USA is comprised of member groups from 24 different states, as well as several at-large members.

Caucuses

The Greens give official recognition, including a direct voice in county, state, and national committees, to organized caucuses of Greens who are members of oppressed groups, including women, people with disabilities, seniors, people of color, youth, and LGBT people.
