GPUSA National Green Program Draft

We are re-writing our National Program. Below is a draft of the re-write in its current form. The old version of the Program is available in its entirety.

This document is a draft-in-progress to update the Green Program of the Greens/Green Party USA. The 2000 Green Congress of the Greens/Green Party USA, held May 26-29 in Chicago, Illinois, has accepted it as a Draft for Discussion. In practice, as a Draft for Discussion it is not binding on the leadership of the Greens/Green Party USA. It is a document for discussion for the coming year. The Green Program Working Group will continue to edit and update it to prepare a final draft for consideration by the 2001 Green Congress. The Green Congress will vote on the paragraphs and sections of the draft and the sections supported will be posted on the Greens/Green Party USA website and updated there periodically by the Green Program Working Group. The website will also post proposals and amendments to the draft not supported by the Green Congress or recommended by the Green Program Working Group. A GPUSA-PROGRAM email discussion forum will be set up to facilitate the discussion and debate of the draft Green Program. Also please note that this draft focuses on new material and does not yet include proposed updates of all sections of the current Program.
